The artist Frits Kloppers from the Dutch city of Schiedam has designed a sculpture for the façade of the Bed & Breakfast.

Kloppers graduated in 1983 from the Academy of Art in Rotterdam (Now the Willem de Kooning Academie). He broke through in 1995 during the annual art fair in the Metropolitan Museum of Schiedam, where he won the audience award.

The sculpture was set last summer. Rob Wark wants to donate the piece of art to the town of Wervik, as a ‘thank you’ for demonstrated hospitality. When the sculpture is revealed officially, it’s name will also be made known.
