Behind the house you will find a spacious garden.
It has been reconstructed completely in 2009.
It now consist of wide lawn, an herb garden,
a boarder with wild flowers from the region and
a terrace which can be used for barbecues.
There also is a very old walnut tree. Next to the
house you will find a sun terrace.

In the back of the garden is a garden shed. A plate on the front says
“De Warkstee”. It was given to me by the owners of a Dutch farm with that name,
in the north of Groningen.
The name Warkstee has nothing to do with my last name. It used to be an
acronym for the “Welzijns Architecten Kritisch Kollektief”
(Wellbeing Architects Critical Collective), a living community. I once celebrated
a vacation in alternative atmosphere there, with my family. Nowadays it also has
a beautiful Bed & Breakfast, De Warkstee!
